SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning 24" X 36" wall calendar for 2008.
For the feature image, WP&YR again commissioned renowned railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created "LAKE BENNETT INTERLUDE".
A southbound diesel train from Carcross, Yukon and a northbound steam special from Skagway, Alaska meet at WP&YR's 1904
Bennett station and eating house. Passengers greet hikers who have made the trek over the Chilkoot Trail and together they
take in the serenity of historic St. Andrews Church and Lake Bennett with its towering mountain guard.
